this video is a must see, must show, MUST PUT INTO PRACTICE. It is NOT a highlight reel for big hits, its a LOWLIGHT side effect of poor tackling and bad attitude. The game is dangerous enough, lets ALL make it as safe as we can.

This is an excellent video on stressing the importance of proper technique/fundamentals of tackling. I agree that every coach should stress that the head be up and shoulder pads lowered. Proper tacking techique should be taught at every practice whether it form or live tackling to have athletes develop this skill in that it becomes first nature.
NFL and College Coaches Associations should develop CD's and tapes to help coaches improve their knowlege and teaching of this skill.

One of the most important things said in this video is:AS YOU LOWER YOUR BODY TO GET IN POSITION THE NATURAL THING IS THAT THE HEAD GOES FIRST. So if is natural you are ging to do it any way so: THIS IS SOMETHING TO WORK & DRILL ON, TO OVER COME THE NATURAL TENDENCY TO LEAD WITH YOUR HELMET. Another very important thing said is: KEEP YOUR HEAD UP, SEE YOUR TARGET & THIS IS GOIN TO FORCE YOU TO LEAD WITH YOUR SHOULDER. And one more: THE CORRECT FUNDAMENTAL? " HEAD UP, SHOULDER DOWN".
Please dont see your self driven one of those electric wheelchairs with your mouth. If you dont know the proper technique I'll be more than happy to teach you.
